Joy Tilley Perryman is an Alabama native who has resided in Nashville for over 20 years. She holds a B.S. from the University of Montevallo in Theatre/Mass Communications. She has taught theatre and theatre appreciation for over 15 years for the Metro Nashville Parks Department, the Waverly-Belmont school, and Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre. When not teaching, Joy is a working professional actor having appeared on stages and screens all over the middle Tennessee area. Some of her favorite roles include Cookie in Neil Simon’s RUMOURS and Ozella Meeks in Osborne and Eppler’s SOUTHERN FRIED FUNERAL. Joy is also a professional director and has been at the helm of many award winning shows including TAKE ME OUT for Act 1 and the critically acclaimed production of ANNIE at Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre.
